rotten towels???

My towels stink! Like rotten eggs or something, I've tried washing them and it just isn't working, I feel like it's actually making the smell worse! They're only a year old so I know they can't stink because they're old! Has anyone else had this problem? How'd you solve it?

Wash with vinegar instead of soap then wash with soap after it should completely refresh

You need to get borax,washing soda and biz. Put those as well as your detergent in the washer. Set it on hot and let it soak for at least 4 hours. Drain and repeat. Then wash without adding any more detergent and don't use softener as it helps to trap bacteria. I do this a couple times a year and my towels never stink anymore. sometimes the water will turn dark from all the garbage that comes out of your towels. You can use this method on anything you put in the washer. I do it to blankets too.

Try washing them with white vinegar. I live in a humid state, and my towels will start smelling funky after a few washes without it. Gets them nice and clean and gets rid of that awful smell.
