How long does it take to heal from a C-section?

Well to be healed and released 6 weeks.  For me my csection was a breeze. I was up walking the night of and didn't stop after that.  Took Tylenol for couple days at the hospital, when home and didn't take anything else.  I was a little sore and stiff when getting up but walking helps so much!!! Good luck!

So it sounds as though it can take a slightly shorter amount of time to heal from vaginal delivery than from c-section (in some cases). But am I correct in assuming that it would take longer to be able to have sex after vaginal delivery that it would after a c-section?

It all depends some women heal faster than others, i have two csections and never have any problem with walkng or takng care my kids also i do have pain tolerance.
Im havin a third csection tomorrow and im sure will heart a little more because of opening the same scar but some tylenol will help and walk make sure you walk it makes you heal faster

I took pain killers only for the first 4 days. And I started walking 12 hours after my C section. I   took care of my baby by myself from the first without needing help. I can't say it was super hard and I was completely OK after 6 weeks.

Ugh I'm 5 months pp and still am sore there.  It took about a week for me to be able to do much of anything and 2 weeks before I was able to be without medication and get back to my normal routine somewhat.  I'm mostly normal now but if I touch my lower belly it still feels tender like touching a bruise.
