bottle warmer

So I just realized this is something I haven't purchased yet, wondering if it's necessary to have? I will be EBF for the first few months hopefully and then start pumping, my mom said  I can just put the bottle under really hot water and that will warm the milk and I don't need a warmer. But I feel like that would take much longer to do. So if you have a bottle warmer, do you like it? Or if you don't like it, why?

I liked my bottle warmer for when I kept my milk in the fridge and didn't want to wait for it to warm under the running water.

When i had to warm my son's bottles i did just what you said turned the sink on all the way to hot and just rolled it under the running water and took the chill off in like a minute!

Honestly a crock pot works just as good.

That's a good idea! I have a small crock pot so it would get in the way I don't think

Personally, I have a big crockpot and having to keep that out all the time would be very annoying.

We tried using hot water from the faucet. We felt so wasteful. It takes a while to get hot, then we had to leave it running several minutes to make the bottle not cold (but still not warm). We used a bottle warmer for milk from the fridge and loved it. It was faster and we didn't leave the water running for several minutes each time we needed a bottle.

I agree w most of these peeps :) I never had a warmer w any of my (5) kids. But the little guy I babysit for has one, and it's soooooo nice. Severely decreases waiting time (and we know how long that can be with a hungry baby!) and is especially great when the milk is coming fm the fridge.

Bought one, never used. Too much hassle.

I personally am not getting a bottle warmer, but rather we will have a hot water dispenser.  We drink hot tea a lot, so it is something we would use anyways.
