2-person home grocery bill

My husband and I are trying to find ways to cut back on our spending. One of our biggest bad spending habits is eating out all the time. I'm trying to figure it out what kind of budget we should put aside for actual groceries each month because we are hoping to purchase a new home soon and need to make sure we can feed ourselves plus pay the mortgage and other bills and still have money for necessities and occasional fun.

I was just wondering if anyone would care to share approximately how much they spend on groceries for a two adults home in a month. Thanks in advance for any replies!
