I've read a ton of reviews but am torn on which breast pump to get. What type of breast pump do you recommend?

Spectra is the better pump. Medela is more popular, (due to longer on market) so parts are available at target etc. What did it for me was: Spectra is a closed system, medela is not, so it's more sanitary. Spectra has options for stronger suction. Spectra (s1) also has a battery option, which is good in case you travel or live somewhere that power outages tend to happen. Oh, and it's just a "cute" little machine lol.

My friends recommend the Spectra (one who was a surrogate and pumped for two years for premies).  They said medela was rough on their nipples but the Spectra was much easier and less issues collecting milk.
 
Yet my best friend and my sister in law used medela and swear on it.
 
Medela is an additional fee for me to get through my insurance, so I plan to use lansinoh as the free insurance provided pump, and then buy out of pocket later if I hate it.
