just found a small lump in my right breast.

I'm a little bit nervous writing this because I haven't approached my husband, my own mother or my own girlfriends about this: I literally just found a small lump near my nipple right now and I'm freaking out. It's 3am and I can't sleep. I can't even call to schedule a mammogram (I am also out of town) until the 2nd. I'm 27 years old and have never experienced a lump in my breasts before. I've read that  most cases are benign, but you can only imagine my nervousness regardless for the statistics. I don't want to jump onto the internet as I feel it will make me more paranoid.
Of course I will set up a mammography in several hours (as soon as the offices open) but in the meantime, some words of comfort and advice would be great.
