Is this really how parents feel?

I'm a teen mom and ever since I got pregnant  all I have been told is your life is over have fun well u still can us that honestly how parents feel  and yet when I ask them if they regret having kids they shrug  and say no. My mom was never like that she was always genuinely wanting to be with me  but I hate this mindset people are shoving at Me that my life's over my child's life has started so my life is far from over

Your life is not over but it will completely change. You will no longer be responsible for just you. There will be a tiny human that will depend on you for absolutely everything. Your choices won't only affect you but your child as well. It is one of the most terrifying yet wonderful things that will happen to you!❤️

I think people mainly say that to you because you are young and they think that you are going to miss out on being a 'normal' teenager. Yes, your life will be different, but having a child is what you make of it. If you look at it as a blessing and a reward to be able to say that you're that child's mother, you will be completely fine, but if you focus on the stress, then you might struggle a little more. Being a parent is what you make of it. People of all ages struggle and people of all ages thrive.

No your life is not over. It's OK to get a baby sitter every once and a while and just take a you day. Baby's do grow into functioning children ;) it will be fun

I'm going to be a teen mom too (18) and honestly it sucks having people judge you all the time but having a kid isn't the worst thing that could happen to anyone. I was super scared at first but I'm extremely excited to be a mom now. I don't think our life is over at all it's just going to be different. If anything my baby has motivated me more to be better and do better in life.

That's just people being grouchy. Your age may factor in some of that stupidity people are throwing at you, by what you do with your life is up to you. My life wasn't over just different.. very hard at first but I was 20 with my first child (yes I know not teen mom but still young) and everything changed for the better I think. I grew up and became someone I wanted to be. It pushed me to be better for both of us.

Well it depends how you look at your situation . I think once we become mother's our lives ain't over as they say , we are just entering a new chapter in life called motherhood , yeah things are gonna change we will have more responsibilities, we have now a little person looking up to us & trusting us with their lives who need someone to lead examples , we can still have fun but now there has to be precautions taken because we are Mommy's now . Idk why people say our lives would be over if kids are fun & get a good laugh out of us with their cute personalities & with things they learn everyday leaving us in aww.. my sister had her first at 15 & she's the type to feel that her fun was ruined , now she has had her 3rd who's almost 1 & she staying at home at the moment & still feels that way due to issues she is going through with herself not feeling like a fit mother ... Now me on the other hand I'm 21 prego with my first & I feel like I'm ready & I can't wait , I feel like I've had my fun already since I was a bad seed drinking & smoking & hanging out not be home . I feel like my baby is helping me move forward & start acting & being a grown woman , hold it down to my responsibilities in the adult world lol ! It has settled me down, I don't even care about anything else but being able to finally have someone call me mom, someone who's gonna lookup to me :) it all is gonna come down to you ! Are you ready or will you have to be ready ? For better or worse of being a mother to an innocent human being new to the world .
