period but no period?

Hi ladies!
This hasn't happened to me in all the 20 years I've been getting my period.  So my period was supposed to start on Wednesday.  When I wiped there was a tiny amount of brown so I figured yup it's starting and used my feminine products.  When I went to change it hours later there's again a super tiny amount..there was nothing yesterday or today.  I have a sore back and no cramps.  I took a digital test but it was negative. 
Usually I'm on point with my period and if I get some spotting then within a few hours I'm full on red storm.
 
Anyone else have a weird start to their period?

This has happened to me last 2 cycles. I've always been 25 days, the last 2 has changed to 28 days. 2 days ago I got brown spotting for about 10mins, period now overdue from norm but I feel like af is just around the corner. Negative pregnancy test taken today. It's so frustrating as I wish af would either come or not. I feel your pain!

That happened to me and I ended up here thinking it wasn't a period and am possibly on CD 51 (not pregnant). Maybe our hormones are changing?

I've had the exact same thing happen this month. I won't go into all the gory details, but my body just felt different this cycle, different things were happening - pimples, cm every day - then 2 negative pregnancy tests, spotting and my period being late. None of it makes sense and it's infuriating and upsetting to say the least.
