1st December I went into hospital to be induced at 37 + 4 days due to having obstetric cholestasis. At around 1.30pm I had the pessary inserted and from then on till later that night nothing really happened I just had slight pains. A few hours later I went to the toilet and it felt like the pessary was falling out so the midwife came in to check, once she had checked she told me that she was able to already take it out even though it was meant to be in for 30 hours I had already got to 2cm and they were able to pop my waters. I was on the waiting list for a bed on the labour ward for around a day. 2.00am Saturday morning I was woken up to be told I had a bed, that's when it all hit me and I was shitting myself!!!!. At around 2.30 my waters had been popped but the contractions wouldn't start so I was put on a drip and not long after my contractions were coming strong and fast to the point where I wasn't having a break in between so they had to lower the dosage. It all went blank from then and I don't have a clue what went on. After my contractions were coming regular I asked for gas and air which was great, not long after I gave up and asked for the epidural which was amazing for the first half an hour, it then needed to be topped up every 20 mins, not long after it just completely stopped working and the pain was bad!!!!, at around 5.30pm I was ready to push, when I started pushing the contractions all a sudden went into my back and I was refusing to push because I was in that much pain, baby's heart rate was all over so after 45 mins of me pushing they decided to cut me down there and try the suction cup which failed twice, I then ended up having forceps and seconds later my baby boy was born at 6.40pm on the 3/12/2016 weighing 7lb 15oz👶🏻💙he is now 4 week old tomorrow and as much as I hated my labour I would do it all over again, best feeling in the world and I love him more than anything!!!
