Not sex itself, it is the sperm that helps.  It has prostiglandins in it which is an ingredient that hospitals use to induce also. So have sex and leave the cum in ya for as long as u can👍

My doctor actually recommended it. And from what I've read, that and nipple stimulation are the only actually proven methods. Everything else is just myth.

I will say, it may have been coincidence, but every time hubby and I would do the dance, I'd lose more of my plug and would have contractions for awhile. I think it helps, and even if it doesn't - it's fun trying 😁

We will see at my next apt if it has helped at all. I was 1 cm and 50% at 36 weeks. I didn't get checked past week.
