Do you think it's ok for a woman to TTC while on Medicaid?

I was just thinking of this ***no I'm not on medicaid*** but I have been before and I know that Medicaid (government insurance for people in poverty if you're outside the US and don't know what it is) doesn't cover fertility treatments or drugs so if the person required either they'd have to pay for it on their own, Medicaid would cover costs associated with the pregnancy and delivery. 
Honestly I think it's okay, given that you can make a fair amount in some states and still qualify, and we all pay in such a small amount to Medicaid so I don't feel like you can really say "well I pay in that money so...." 
I have more of a problem with people who do things that are known to be dangerous and harms your body like smoking or heavily drinking and having their treatments covered by Medicaid later in life for cancer, COPD, cirrhosis of the liver, etc. I don't think we should deny them coverage though of course. And obviously we can't control if someone does TTC or not, so this is all just sharing what we think.

I don't have a problem with it. We're all required to have coverage now, and sometimes Medicaid is the best choice. That doesn't mean the parents can't afford other necessities or that they receive other benefits. To say it's wrong implies that poor people don't deserve to have children.

If you don't have money for a child and you're using our tax dollars to pay for it don't TTC.

Yes (it's called Medi-cal here). I had a job and insurance but got it just in case, ended up having to leave my job PP and it saved my child and me. I'm pregnant again, still covered. We are not having any more and I plan to get off of it once I start working again.

It is... even if you don't have insurance you can get all covered for a baby, or a good part of it

If you don't earn enough money to provide for your child financially and have enough left over to save/take out insurance just in case then you really shouldn't be having children. You'd be better off spending the time and energy trying to get additional qualifications of some sort so that you can support a family
