Braxton Hicks or just baby pushing against my tummy?

Question

How would I know the difference. Sorry if that sounds dumb but I have no idea 37 weeks pregnant.

I find when the baby is pushing up against me then the opposite side of my stomach will be soft whereas a Braxton hicks will be your whole uterus tightening.
Also, if it happens when you are changing position (like going from sitting to standing) then it is probably a Braxton hicks

I've wondered the same. Sometimes I feel like the baby is moving while I'm having Braxton hicks contractions

Contractions get stronger as they go, and you can usually feel your tummy tighten, and you can time them, normally you can't time Braxton hicks, and real contractions do not go away.

Sometimes I am not completely sure either. When it's a Braxton Hicks it's usually my entire stomach though vs when he is pushing out it might only be one spot or part of my stomach. It kind of feels the same though if I don't actually touch my stomach to see where it is hard.
