FTM - Baby laundry question?

Question

Ok so I normally wash our clothes and use a fabric softener such as downy. Is there something I'm supposed to use for babies specifically? I bought All Free and Clear for detergent. Also, dryer sheets... yay? Nay? Help please lol

No softener and no dryer sheets.  
All free (or anything without dyes and scent) is fine.
 
I personally use Drefr, but it IS very pricey.

I don't know where you are located but Kroger has off brand Dreft.  But Dreft does have a scent just so you know.

I use the babyganics dryer sheets. They have an awesome rating on the think dirty app. Static is a serious problem here during the dry winters.

I'd hold off on dryer sheets since you don't know how using them may affect your little one. We were given a bunch of the Snuggle ones but I think we'll use them for our own clothes.

I've switched from dryer sheets to wool dryer balls. They help dry clothes faster, soften like sheets, are anti-static, don't leave a film on your clothes... and you can reuse them for a very long time. Definitely worth it--especially if you have anyone in the family with sensitive skin/eczema flare ups.

We just use Tide detergent and no fabric softeners.  The softeners leave their residue on everything even though we can't see it.  They actually cause linens to degrade faster too.

I have extremely sensitive skin. We use tide free and clear (tried the Kirkland brand free and clear and it made my eczema flare up) with no dryer sheets (just dryer balls) and we wash our sons clothes in the same load as everything else since it's so gentle. If you're using heavily scented products you may want to either switch for everything or just wash baby's stuff separately

We don't use dryer sheets for baby. I use ALL baby laundry detergent. Or Purex baby
