Today I went in to my regularly scheduled appointment with my doctor a little early. I was having mild contractions every 4 min apart and I hadn't felt the baby move in a while. They sent me straight to labor and delivery to be evaluated. 30 min into my triage the doctor comes in and said we need to be delivered. Apparently I had developed pre eclampsia and needed to be induced. They let me labor on my own until the magnesium drip slowed labor at an 8. I was stalled. In comes the pictocin and boy did we go. 30 min after pictocin drip started my handsome boy slid his way into the world. 8 lbs 7.5 oz 20 inches long. Born at 5:18 pm please help me welcome John Curtis Porter Jr. My only son!! No tears and no other complications. We will be recovering until Thursday as long as I don't seize.
