Is the skin to skin that hospitals do only for the mother or mother and father?

At my hospital mother and baby do skin to skin for 1hr immediately after birth. But after that you're free to do whatever you want with baby so I plan to definitely have my husband get some skin to skin time in as well!

Both can do skin to skin.my husband has done it with all of our children. It ways brings a smile to my face when I wake up and don't see my child,then I look over and see him chest to chest with our child.its a warming feeling

For my hospital , they defiantly do mothers first and then if we want we can request for father and baby skin to skin as well ! We are going for both for sure !!

For anyone you want. I had my parents stay with my baby in the NICU because I couldn't be there, and they held him skin to skin.
