We picked the name Thorin for our baby boy due in March and I was just curious to see what other moms thoughts on the name where.

Upon first read it strikes me as a name of a medication for some reason. But if you love a name it doesn't matter what ANYONE else thinks, you give that kiddo the name you love. Congrats!

Did you get that from the hobbit? Thorin Oakenshield who was the Dwarven king. I personally love that name.

Not the worst I've heard so I wouldn't say I hate it, but it sounds like you're just saying thorn when you don't say it slowly
