missed a pill

So I've been taking birth control for almost 2 years and never have missed a single pill (like not take it, and if I do I usually take 2 the next day) but as dumb as this sounds. I lost one, I dropped it on the carpet and I can't find it; I feel super stupid about this. And I'm low key freaking out because I am taking 27/28 pills in a month, and well yeah I'm freaking out because I wanna know if there is a certain side effect or not really, or even if I'm only over reacting
