Makes no sense to me...
I keep hearing my water may not break when going into labor, then I heard I may not lose my mucus plug.... so then how am I gonna know I'm going into labor? Just based off contractions? That's it?

My water broke with my first pregnancy but not my second. So with second I went to hospital unsure whether or not I was in labor and I was 7 cm and 100% effaced. So good thing I went in as my husband was telling me to take a bath n lay down and relax maybe it's a false alarm

My water didn't break with my son till almost 8cm.  I didn't know i was in labor  at first just thought I was having Braxton hicks cuz u got those a lot and then they amped up like an hour later  and I was like yea I'm in labor went to the hospital where they told me I was only 1cm sent me home to labor ther and I went back the next morning 10am  4cm and in full fledged labor had my son naturally 1:43am the next day 😁 sometimes active labor can last a long time expecially ftms in total my labor lasted 46 hours but my son came perfect and healthy at 10lbs
