Implanon or Depo Provera?

Looking to get on birth control and trying to decide between Implanon and Depo Provera atm. Anyone have any suggestions or history with either that I could get some suggestions or ideas from? Advice?

I'm on depo and I love it. I had some break through bleeding (spotting) for about two weeks after the first injection. And I haven't bleed since. Some people hate depo since it can have annoying side effects. I would talk to your doctor and decide what's right for you with them. Depo has been the only birth control that works for me, since it does not contain estrogen. I am very sensitive to estrogen, it makes me uncontrollably vomit. 😷

I got the implant February of 2014 and started my period like the week after and it did not stop for 6 months. The only reason it stop was because they put me on birth control pills at the same time. Then I had bad side affects from taking two birth controls and had to stop taking the pills. As soon as I stopped I started bleeding again and did not stop until November 2016 when they finally removed it. I stopped bleeding the day they took it out and was put on depo Provera the same day they took it out and I have bled a day since. Some people react well with the implant some do not. They are similar medications so you could always start with depo and see how it effects you. It's better than having to wait for 2 years of constant bleeding.
