Period after sex issues

I lost my virginity on Wednesday, my period was supposed to start on Thursday but it didn't come that morning. I took a nap @ 6 Thursday evening, woke @ 8. I went to the bathroom and I was spotting so I put on a pad and went back to sleep. When I woke this morning the pad had no blood, but when I wiped I was spotting still. Normally my pad would be wet or something but it was born dry. I'm new to this sex thing, after my first time is my period going to be like that? After sex will my period be like this or will it be normal? Yes it was protected sex so I doubt I'm pregnant but I'm still a little worried about this situation.
