Would you say your SO not letting u wear makeup is controlling?

We were having a talk and he feels like when i wear makeup guys try to get at me. ( he works all day literally so we're not always together btw ) i told him well i mean u trust me right ? And he said yes but how would u feel if i did something u didnt like ? 
I mean he buys me so much makeup so i dont get it. Thats all i ever ask for when he wants to spoil me and he has never had a problem with it. And he knows i love to do makeup, its my passion. I just dont know what to do in this kind of situation 
( im not going to leave him just cause of this situation , we've been together for a while and have a daughter. Makeup is the only thing hes ever had an issue with )

That's VERY controlling. Make sure you tell him that you do it for YOU and not to impress others. Tell him you have a passion for it and love it and you're still going to put on makeup because you enjoy it. I love make up so much I would be damned if my fiancée told me I can't wear make up anymore. It makes me feel confident and I just enjoy doing it.

My boyf didn't like me wearing makeup. He never straight up told me I couldn't wear it but I took the hints. I wore way too much, & now I feel 100x more confident with out it. Same thing with clothes, I used to wear very provocative things, which he didn't like, so I stopped. I learned I can be attractive w/o showing my ass & boobs 24/7. I don't think there's anything wrong with him not wanting you to wear makeup.

I say take it as a compliment. He finds you beautiful and doesn't like it when other people look at you. My husband doesn't like it when I wear makeup either. He says I'm beautiful and look better without it. Some people are just that way. It may also him being insecure. Try wearing a little less makeup. I don't know how you do your makeup but maybe go natural looking. See if that helps. There is no point in causing a fight or argument over something as simple as makeup. Just tell him that you love wearing makeup, that you don't do it for others and it makes you feel beautiful but you will try to wear a little less for him. Marriage is all about compromise and sometimes our husbands come off a certain way because their not sure how to express how they feel. I'm sure he's not trying to be controlling, just trying to express himself.

He obviously cares about you, but if he ever says "I won't allow you to wear makeup." Then there's your red flag.

No, some man just like natural women, some women just are too much!!! I personally used to wear make up until I met my husband.. I don't waste money on that no more, he loves me the way I am.. I do put some lipstick,eye shadow , eye pencil , mascara on special ocations.. but nothing on my face like powder or stuff like that!! Ppl nowadays are just too much with make up! Lol

Consider counseling if you are worried, I would say all things should be a conversation and that that level of jealousy seems unhealthy to me. My partner doesn't 'let' me do anything, my body belongs to me.
