BED REST/ HOME REST??!?

Question

Wondering if anyone has been placed on bed rest- or like house rest at the beginning of there pregnancy? 
I am currently 7 weeks and been having cramps and spotting as well as bleeding , and dr said I may have to go on something like bed rest... which means quitting work as I lift, change, bathe, and look after seniors at a seniors home. I am just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this at all and was everything okay?

What ended up happening? I’m almost 8 weeks and had bleeding and my dr put me on bed rest. There is no known reason for my bleeding :(

At the beginning of mine I was put on bed rest due to having a hemorrhage behind my placenta that was causing me to bleed. It went away after awhile so I got off bed rest for 3 months and then put back on it due to very short cervix and had to have a cerclage put in at 21 weeks.
