Mother in law problems

My husband and I just found out we are having boy/girl twins and we have been set on names ever since before we started trying for a baby! Well when we announced to his mom that we were having a boy and a girl and what their names were, Damien Scott for the boy and Salem Elizabeth for the girl, she just went completely crazy on us. She's a very devoted Christian and my husband and I are both pagans and she refuses to call the children by their names because they have pagan meanings. My husband of course stood up to her about it telling her that if she can't call them by their given names then she won't see them, but it just leaves me feeling so upset and uncomfortable now.
