Did you use dreft detergent ?

I am due in less than a week and have yet to wash all these baskets of new baby clothes and am curious if I should use dreft or another detergent for sensitive skin just to avoid a potential skin irritant ? Or are infants usually fine with normal detergent my last baby was 10 years ago so I'm a little behind on things 🙃

Baby will come in contact with yours, baby's father's, any siblings' clothes as well as any bedding or couch blankets, etc. you have in your home from when you all hold baby or lay baby anywhere in your home. Will you wash everything with the baby detergent? I think a free and clear option makes the most sense.

No I used what we use. I found that the baby detergents don't get the clothes clean like they are supposed to be.

I've used tide free and clear since before I gave birth I washed all my sons stuff in it and still use it never had issues he's now 6 months old

Not even once. The price on anything baby or wedding-related is always jacked up. I use soap nuts and/or vingar. Soap nuts cost about $40 bucks on Amazon. The bag has lasted me over a year.

I use Dreft only because while pregnant I was excited to buy baby things. I'm sure that any Free and Clear would be okay. I just love the smell of Dreft.

I used Purex baby (cheaper than most other baby detergent brands). I only used it for the first couple months, then we started using the dye free tide pods, didn't have an issue. Since she turned 2 we started using regular tide or any other laundry soap. Again no issues.
