ugh why did I do that!?

I did something stupid. I am 5 days till AF and have been having pregnancy symptoms. I've been staying away from taking a test because I don't want to get disappointed. Today I had an intense urge to take one and I did even though I knew how little of a chance there would be for it to be a positive this early. And of course I was right. BFN... I know it's too early still and there is still a chance, but I am feeling super discouraged now :(. I wish I didn't do that!
