After being emotionally, verbally, and even at times physically abused by my husband, I have decided to leave. I decided not to press charges, I just want to be done with this relationship because I don't want all of the negativity affecting the child growing inside of me. I left with just a duffel bag full of clothes and a few essentials. I have never been through a situation like this, so I am a bit lost. He is in the Navy, so by being married to me he receives extra money each month for housing as well as an extra $250+ simply for spousal support. He took my debit card and has been cutting my cellphone off and on back and forth. I have no money for a lawyer, and just a handful of cash to buy food with. I was able to get up enough cash to buy a bus ticket to make it back to Georgia from Virginia. Anyone know what I can do?
