does water breaking run in the family???

My mom said the doctor had to break her water all four times. Does that mean my water probably won't break on it's own? Or is it just random?

My labor and birth went nothing like my moms four. I don't think there's an correlation

Your water will break on its own, or your baby will be born in the sac. You don't HAVE to have your water break.
