is it dangerous ?!

Just wanted to ask y'all if it is safe to take birth control pills while on the nexplanon implant ? I've had my implant since may of 2015 and I've had my period for about 8 months now . Started taking birth control pills a month ago for about 5 days . My period stopped completely and I thought it was safe to stop using , but since I stopped taking them I started bleeding again . So is it dangerous to take both at the same time or should I ask for birth control pills from my doctor to stop the bleeding ?
