Eat or Don't?

I'm getting induced tonight at like 8-9pm, or maybe even 11pm (idk what time they're gonna call me to come in). For anyone who's ever been induced, is it better to eat? Or no? So far all I've eaten all day is breakfast, and my aunts telling me not to eat anymore for the day 😩 but I'm starving.

Definitely eat! Because once you're in labor they won't allow you to eat anything and you don't know how long your labor will be

I was induced at 10:30am. I ate Cracker Barrel that morning before going in.. zaxbys for lunch. Outback for dinner. I wasn't about to starve especially when there was no telling when my LO would come 😂 I was induced with cervidil (I hadn't dilated). The next morning, I started pitocin & couldn't have anything to eat until he was born. So from 8:30am to 2:30pm, I couldn't eat anything.

Eat now!!! Seriously. Induction takes FOREVER. Not only did I eat before my induction but I continued to eat during labor. It has been proven to give laboring moms more energy and shorten labor time. Eat mama!!!

My doctor told me to eat a big meal before going to the hospital and I'm so glad I did. You can't eat when you're on pitocin, and induction usually isn't a quick process. I was in labor for 50 hours and about 40 of them I was hooked up to the pitocin, so no food.

I went in at 8 pm to start my induction (cervidil that night, pitocin the next morning). My hospital is over an hour away, we stopped and ate at Dairy Queen on the way! 🍔🍟 They had given me a light breakfast the next morning before pitocin was started. Baby was born the next night at 7:21 so I was glad I had eaten!
