When your friend miscarries and you had a perfect pregnancy

What kind of condolences do you give your friend that just miscarried? I have a friend that recently miscarried and I am currently on maternity leave. I feel so bad sharing our development as a family when she is going through so much. What would you do in this situation?

I had the same thing with my good friend. I didn't know what to say. I told her I'm so sorry and I know how it feels to be in her position, no updates on me until you're ready.

I still feel bad and it's been 3-4 weeks. I feel our friendship is withering away 😖 she asked how our doc appointment went a few weeks ago and I felt bad telling her everything went well 😞

Answer

Let them know you're there for them. Do not bring it up unless they do. 
I have lost twice. One of my friends lost a baby and all we did was send her a text message that we're here for her when ever she needs. She went on to carry a healthy boy after. And only after that did she feel ok to bring it up. She said she appreciated the space we gave her and not pushing her to talk about untill she was ready.

I am personally had no problem talking about it.

I went through a miscarriage as my friends became pregnant. The biggest thing was they let me know they were there for me. I remember they got me a card and gift card. I know that it made them uncomfortable at first but I ended up talking with them. I told them that I was happy for them and that I still wanted to know about everything. After that things weren't exactly back to normal but we are still friends to this day.  It's always hard to say what to do in these situations but be there for your friend and hopefully she will be there for you too.
