Anyone an expert in DOG TRAINING?!

I want to start target training my dog but I don't have the clicker yet. In the meantime are there some training basics I should go through with my pup before we start target training? She doesn't know a single command except "this way" which she obediently follows instead of "come" or whatever.

Start off by getting her to sit, when she sits click and give her a treat st the same time. Work on this until you don't need to treat quite as often. It will take time. After you have that down. Start off by being like 1ft away (inside) and do the same thing. Say her name and come. Treat and click when she does. As she gets better move further away. After she's got the inside come down start the same process but outside. Make sure you treat at the same time as the click. If she isn't wanting to come inside/outise get a long line and make her come to you. ALWAYS make it a big deal when she comes to you. Even if you have to make her come using the long line. It takes patience. Dogs don't just learn things. Repetition is a huge thing when training dogs.
