I'm currently 6w5d. I had an accident due to piles of snow and ice on the roads and ended up in a big snow bank. A few days later started bleeding. When I went to the doctor the first time they couldn't see enough to know what was going on. Since then I've been back for an ultrasound weekly. Today after my ultrasound my OB's nurse called and told me that I have a hematoma behind my placenta and that was where the blood was coming from. The baby is progressing and had a heart rate of 138. So I'm not concerned (and they didn't seem to be either) I just don't really understand what all that means.
