Any experienced mums out there? Teething?

My 10 week old baby is teething. The doctor was surprised and said it's rare and then gave me NO advice about how to help my little girl. We've tried bonjela but she won't let us put it in her mouth. I've tried a cold rag but again she won't let me. She cries all day and is only happy when she gets her own hand in her mouth and sucks it (won't let me put it in). Any ideas?
