bf in the army?

My boyfriend is considering going into the army. 😕 idk how to feel about it. I just want him to be safe. And I don't know whether or not I would get lonely. Have you guys got any advice??

Be happy for him to pursue a very honorable and courageous career. There are many military wives that can provide support for you and remember not every military member gets deployed

My boyfriend decided to go in the army and chose the national guard. You can suggest that. It's probably a hard decision for him to make, and it's really hard on you. If he goes army, it may not hit him that he goes to basic until a few weeks before he leaves, that's what happened to me. My bf didn't understand why I cried every night he dropped me off at my house as we said goodbye. Best thing I suggest is it support him and love him. Try it. It's not as bad as you think and lots of girls do it. Write letters while he's at basic and all. And I do not recommend infantry bc he may have trouble getting a job once he gets out of the military. I wish he best of luck to you both and if he joins, be proud your man is military. I always tell my boyfriend that we are army strong!
