best friend is irritating me

So me and best friend have a strained relationship, we are in two very different points in our lives and it just seems we keep growing apart. Well when I found out I was pregnant she was like oh that's great are you happy? (Valid question me and the dad where having major problems at the time) I said yes and that was that. Well now I'm 30wks 3 days and she is planning, well attempting to plan my baby shower, now idk if I'm over reacting or if she is kinda not doing it right. She doesn't want to pay for anything( wants me to pay, she's in grad school so I kinda understand however she is always going out and buying exspensive clothes and buying birthday dinners for her other friends) and she also has made comments about my family being  uneducated and saying she doesn't have time for any drama if she is gonna host it.(my family doesn't really like her because she is selfish but they have never done anything rude or disrespectful towards her) Well I just feel like this is the last straw. I really feel as if I should just be showing up to the shower not paying a dime, I don't mind paying but I have told her numerous times she doesn't have to plan or host, but she wants to. Me and her have had plenty of arguments about her being selfish and making everything about her and I feel that's what she is doing, I don't even feel close to her anymore and I'm thinking this is it the reason I stop completely dealing with her because she is making this process difficult I don't even want a baby shower anymore because I can't really afford it on my own. I guess what my question is am I overacting or should I tell her she doesn't have to host and let my family plan it? (She would still be invited)
