I believe that infatuation at first sight exists, but I also believe that honest and true love begins only after you know someone inside and out and you still consciously choose to love that person. I don't believe it's possible to truly love someone you don't even know. True love is acceptance of all that a person is. You can't possibly know that at first sight. When I first met my fiancé, I had a vision of him and I walking with a little girl in between us holding each one of our hands. I don't know how or why I got that vision, but I knew that he was going to be the father of my child and the person I marry. However, we were great friends for a couple of years after that first initial meeting, and I had a huge crush on him the entire time that we were friends. We didn't start dating until years after that moment. So we knew each other pretty well when we started dating, but once we got comfortable with each other, you start to see all of the negative and the positive about a person that otherwise wouldn't have been shown. When you know all the negative, and you still choose to love that person, that is when true and honest love begins. In stark contrast, the relationship I was in before him, the first time I saw him, I was infatuated at first sight, but once the relationship got to that comfortable place and I started learning all of the negative and positive about him, I decided that he was not somebody that I could love forever. I simply could not accept the negative parts about him. So yes, I believe that you could be infatuated with someone right from the beginning and have everything work out great because you were able to live and accept a person as time goes by and as you learn more and more about them.

I can honestly say I fell in love with my husband on the first date. I didn't have a lustful desire, I just knew he was the one. It can happen

I knew the moment my husband got out of his car that he was the one. It was like time stood still and I stopped breathing for a few seconds. It felt different than any feeling I've ever had. I just knew. So yes, I believe in love at first sight. Did I believe in it before I met my husband? Nope.

I used to...I really did. I believed that you could love someone just by seeing them. Now after having experienced love for the first time I believe that you can fall in love with the idea of someone at first sight but in order to truly fall in love with the person, you need to get to know them first.

The second my husband turned around an introduced himself in my buddies truck my heart sank to my knees and I was a head over heels. 2 years later baby due in May an married for 2 months!

Anyone who was there the night I met my SO will tell you I fell in love at first sight. It wasn't like a fairy tell with fire crackers and hearts in my eyes though nor was it that I knew right away I was gonna love him the rest of my life. No, for me it was more like I just instantly knew this man with wicked curls kicking out of his hat was going to a part of my life some way some how, just an instant connection.
