How would you feel if you got a baby shower invite via email?

Hate how expensive and wasteful sending things in the mail is. You have to pay for the invite, the envelope, address them all, pay for stamps and send them out in advance notice to make sure they get processed and delivered and then people have to call or email you their response. 
If you send an evite there's no paper being wasted, they can be free or significantly cheaper, and all of your RSVPS are in one place where people can respond easily and discussions/more information can be posted. I'm not talking about a Facebook party I mean a fancy, pretty evite. We sent them out for our wedding and nobody seemed to have a problem. I'm honestly tired of the idea that people NEED to send paper invites and thank you cards and Christmas cards and birth announcements etc. it's wasteful and expensive!

I personally hate evites to things. Invites through the mail feel more personal and I like putting them on the fridge! So I would never do it.

I have no problem with invites of any sort whether paper or electronic. If people care enough about you they'll show up. My baby shower invites were done through a text app called hobnob and we used Facebook for a backup invite. I guarantee no one was able to claim their invitation got lost in the mail

My baby shower was organized via Facebook event (I wasn't the organizer or included in the event planning or the group). It's fine by me- the point is to share the information and details. What are all the invitees going to do with the paper afterwards anyway?

I like the idea of evites from an environmental stand point. I feel like there's way too much wasted paper with paper invites. Same as thank you notes. 
I've gotten evites to so many events and I think it's perfectly fine. I know my friends aren't cheap or ghetto, lol. It's also easier because you don't have to collect everyone's address and waste time writing them out

While it's nice to have an actual hard copy invite I feel nowadays they'd be easily overlooked in the mail. If you know the people well you'll be inviting there's nothing wrong with an evite though perhaps for those who are older and enjoy getting mail one in the mail would be the better option. Personally I'd like one in the mail because the most we ever get is junk mail and it feels a bit disappointing to never get nice or fun mail.

I did online and some mail invites! The mail invites were for the ones who were not good with computers and internet.

I've gotten both, and both were so adorable. Do what's best for you! If I were to do something now (I'm not though), I'd send out evites, and do some hard copies to grandparents, older family members, and older family friends who maybe aren't very computer savvy.
