Best Newborn Formula

Hey guys. I breastfed my first for the first 5 weeks until she was diagnosed with milk protein allergy and we had to put her on Nutramigen (expensive hypoallergenic formula). Eventually she outgrew her allergy and we used Sam's Club Gentle until she went to regular cow's milk at 12 months old.

I am due in 2 weeks with baby #2 and will most likely go straight to formula feeding. My question is-- what's the best formula for newborns? Can I just go straight for the Sam's Club Gentle or should I use something more broken down for the first month or two, like Gerber Good Start Soothe? My doc says it's all the same but I wanted actual moms opinions. Thanks in advance.
