i'm getting on BC thursday and wanted to know what best works for y'all, and if you had any symptoms when first starting it

I've had the nexplanon implant since May 2016 and I think it's great! My periods have been on and off  but that's what the doctor said would happen for 3-6 months!

Been on the combination pill for a month and I have had little to no side effects. You can skip your period when you want, and when I got my period it was my regular flow. I don't rely on my myself to take it, since the beginning I've kept it in my wallet or purse so it's always with me no matter where I go and I have 2 alarms: one from my phone and one from the myPill app which I recommend if you get on it.

I had the pills before I got the implant and I always messed up on the pills. Even if I was a few hours off my set time to take it, my period would come the following day.
