Travel?

Would you rather travel with SO while young and childless and have children at a later age (after 30) or would you rather have children young(20s)and enjoy your retirement child free and travel later in life. Just curious I know that most newlyweds feel the pressure to have kids right away. We waited a couple of yrs but then again we were already pretty "old" compared to most when we had kids (28&32) while I enjoy going out with my baby it definitely is harder then we were just a couple and most vacations seem to be kid oriented or work around them. I imagine this will be likely as they get older. Definitely looking forward to traveling once they get older and enjoying our retirement.

We're having babies young but fully intend to travel with them. We're doing Europe when our LO is almost a year. Yeah it may be a bit different traveling with a baby but I can't think of anyone else I'd want to see the world with if not my little family.

Each to their own but I personally have zero maternal instincts or urges to have children. My only goal is to enjoy my life while I am young, fit and able then see what I want to do when I'm grown up. I'm 26 and still don't think I'm a grown up haha

You could work your whole life to retire comfortably and have all these plans and then die at 65. I'll travel now ✌🏼

I was single young and traveled.  Had a child in my 40s and we'll take him places. In 20 years we'll travel without him. The key is to be fiscally smart so you can do it all.

I say travel young and have kids later because that's when you have all of your energy and motivation, you are physically more able to do things, and you can be wild and crazy and not worry about anything. When you have kids, you kind of have to worry about not being too wild and crazy, even if they are older or whatever, because you are still a role model. And the last thing you want is for your college age or older kids to be worried about mom and dad having too much fun 😂. You also don't want to be going on adventures and worry about breaking bones and what not. When you are young, you don't worry about that because you're super courageous and feel practically invincible. As you get older, that wears off and you begin to be much more careful about what you do with your body. I chose to do my traveling and have wild and crazy times when I was younger and I had my daughter at the age of 36. I have no regrets whatsoever! Now we are focusing on a different kind of travel that focuses on our daughter.. She will be going to Disney for the first time in April! My mother-in-law owns a Hilton timeshare, so we can travel pretty much wherever there's a Hilton and use her timeshare, so we plan on having many family vacations, which will be very different than the vacations that we used to take before we had our daughter, but we are super excited about this phase of our lives.

I vote young for myself, but I really don't think it does matter. For some people, they may not have a choice in the matter if it takes them a long time to conceive. I think everything happens for a reason and each baby will arrive and bless your life when it's supposed to happen.
