U.K. NHS Antinatal
Annoyed!
In the U.K. We have to wait until 12 weeks for a scan.
I'm 11 weeks 2days and had my booking appointment with the midwife team today, now it's been 12 years since I had a child but Back then on your first appointment you at least got to hear your babies heartbeat on a fetal dopler!
When I asked today they said they don't do that till 16 wks!
What witchcraft is this to save NHS money?
It's a long time to wait to get peace of mind that baby is ok in there!
I have been so stressed and anxious on this long wait to have my scan! This can't be good for mother or baby?
NHS need to move with the times and do a scan at 8 weeks like some other countries do!
Wish me luck on another week wait for scan!
