Who is throwing your baby shower?

I'm just wondering if my partner and I should take the initiative and host it ourselves or if we are suppose to wait and see if someone else will be wanting to do it. We will be having two. One where his family lives and one where my family lives (they are 5 hours apart). Any advice will be helpful.

I want mine a certain theme and done a certain way so I'm doing mine even tho my family insists they have control. Lol

I had two, one at work and then my sisters, cousins , and close friends to planned  mine. But I'm a bit of a control freak so I did help a lot lol

My mom and best friend teamed up to throw me one back home. I live abroad though, I've had a few friends offer to throw me one here, but I'm just going to do it myself and keep it casual in my backyard, no games, must celebrate the babies arriving. If people want to help out by bringing food, that's great!

My mom is it's her first grand baby and she is super excited. I wanted to help and plan it with a certain theme. After a bit I decided I'm going to leave it up to her. It makes her happy and I'm glad to help if she needs it. She has asked input on things like food but I trust her. She helped plan the majority of my wedding as well.

My mom and her best friend are throwing mine! My mom's was thrown by her best friend and her best friend's mom. It really just depends on who you're the closest to in your life. If you would like to be in charge of it- there's nothing wrong with that!

I love about 3 hours from my family. My friends are throwing one here and my family is throwing one in my hometown. I'll probably have 20-30 people at each.

It's usually your mother or someone along those lines. If you're like me, my mom passed away early last year, so it'll probably be my mother in law and a close friend of mine.
