Do you send thank-you cards for shower, wedding, etc. gifts?

I send thank you cards for everything!! Its a simple common courtesy, plus I LOVE writing them!

I've noticed people being less grateful in this day and age...Inalways make a point to say thank you and send out thank you cards after receiving gifts etc...

Yes I do send out thank you cards. I did for my high school graduation party too. I don't think I have ever given someone a gift and them not say thank you. I won't get upset if they don't send a thank you card though. Even though I send them out, I don't think it's that big of a deal. I don't feel like my gift was any less appreciated if I did not receive a thank you card.

I always just said thank you verbally. It wasn't until I had my baby shower and my mom broke out the thank you cards and I was like "what?! People still do that?!"

Now I always write them, though I have to be reminded sometimes lol

for events? absolutely. weddings. baby's showers. bridal showers etc. I would absolutely send a thank you card.

for other things like holidays or birthdays, I only send thank you cards to people that live far away.

Yes, I do. When people take time out of their day and spend money to buy me a nice gift I see it as extremely rude not to take some time out of my day to write a nice thank you card as well as thanking them in person for their time and gift.

A thank you card is a must for these things!!! If you don't you are seen as ungrateful.  Thems the rules!!!
