38 weeks and bleeding help!!!

I'll try to make this as short as I can I was diagnosed with placenta previa around 25 weeks and at 36 weeks I was cleared of it. on and off between then and there I had bleeding. I also lost my mucus plug at 32 weeks. They told me it can regenerate and I could lose it again. Well at 38 weeks I have my membrane's stripped and I had some bleeding the next day to be expected. My mucus plug has not been like any other mucus plug I've seen or even my Midwife has seen so I went to triage they said yes I just lost my mucus plug the bleeding should subside and I was dilated to a 1 (the mucus plug looked more like a big blood clot to me and my midwife). I'm still bleeding lightly with some mucus mixed in anybody else had this happen? I'm just wondering if it's a sign of labor or if something's wrong. I got out my Doppler his heart rate is fine.
