exercise ball help induce labor?

Has anyone had any success trying to induce labor using an exercise ball? If so, how? I'm 40+2 and trying to avoid being medically induced.

I sit on one instead of a desk chair at work. I gently bounce, roll my hips in a figure 8, circles, side to side and front to back. Sometimes I put on some salsa music or shakira and just dance around on it :) but I'm 39+5 and it hasn't done much for me labor wise except i find it helps my back pain!

If nothing else, it can help loosen up the pelvis so baby can get in an optimal position to speed labor.

I read to put the ball between your back and the wall, roll down, and squat. I'm gonna try it.

My chiropractor highly recommends using the ball and I have been trying to sit on it for about 20 mins a night. I sit on it with my knees and feet wide and rotate my hips from side to side, front and back and around in circles.  He doesn't say it will induce labor but helps get baby in position and stretches out the ligaments down there. I do feel sore once I get up from it so it must be working.

I was taught to do small jumps on the ball. That's supposed to help the baby go lower and fortify your muscles and whatnot. Hasn't worked for me, but give it try!! Good luck!!
