Car seat?

For those that started with an infant carrier car seat when will you switch to a convertible one? (Or when did you?)

Baby girl will stay in her infant seat until she outgrows it. She is only 10 pounds at 4 months so we have a ways to go.

I'm gonna use it until April. It's just so easy with the carrier and cover in the cold weather.

Probably switching this weekend! My son is so long/tall already he looks squished in his infant seat and is telling us how much he hates it every time he goes in it!! Can't believe it lasted us only 4 months..

I'm switching now only bc he hates the positioning of the infant seat. What a waste of money!

We've had both since he was born. The car with the infant seat will probably be changed when he can sit unassisted, the only thing we really need the infant seat for is eating at restaurants, once he can use a highchair we won't need it.

We got a diono convertible seat when zulily was running a sale. We havent installed it yet, but I can't wait. The carrier is too heavy now and it's too difficult to get him in and out of that car seat while still in the car. He will be switching as soon as my husband installs it. Hopefully this weekend.

We just bought our new convertible car seat (since babies r us has their trade in event going on!) but baby girl will be 4 months Saturday and still fits well in her infant seat, so I probably won't change it out until I feel she's outgrown/looks unsafe in the infant seat (even though ours says up to 35lbs)
