Bonding activities with a 6 month old?

Hi there! I'm writing this because I don't know how to bond with my daughter other than playing toys with her and even then I'm just handing her toys to suck on. What do I do to bond with her???

Peekaboo - hide behind a cushion and say where's mummy gone, then pull a funny face and say boo - my LO thinks it's hilarious 😂 
They are just discovering under, over, behind etc at this stage so it's fun for them.

Read books - it's all about the pics (and my daughter tries to eat them mostly) but that's a nice habit to get into

Nursery rhymes - especially tickling ones, like this little piggy or round and round the garden etc, and clap hands songs

Sitting up with cushions around them

Standing up - hold their arms up and say 'big girl or big boy'

Funny faces, mirrors, blowing raspberries

Mostly just get on the floor and act silly with them - let them play with your face. Change your tone of voice and expressions they will lap it up.

I put on music and sing to her and dance around with her. Also we do a lot of reading    We also just play on her playmat without toys. I will blow raspberries and give her kisses and make funny faces.

But I will say doing what your doing is bonding!!  Your interacting and playing with her!  Is saybuour doing great!

There are lots of good suggestions for play by age in the Wonder Weeks book.

We dance, sing, read books, look out the window. He likes to fly like an airplane, bounce or "ride the horsey" on my knees, go down my legs like a slide. A variation on peek-a-boo is to pretend to be sleeping and then dramatically wake up!

Infant massage is another great way to bond.

But also don't feel like you have to be touching, talking, making eye contact all the time. Babies like a little down time/alone time too.

We bond the best when I show her the outside world.. She loves being outdoors and she loves when I take out to the store/mall.. I also read to her and dance for her lol

I make up silly songs for him, dance in the mirror for him, lay around on the bed with him, play fetch with the dogs while he's in my lap. I literally talk to him all day. I narrate what we're going to do and who we're going to see, etc. You just do what you can. They love the attention.

My girl loves peekaboo with a giant blanket. Toss the blanket up and let it land on you baby. Keeping pulling it up and letting it fall down.  My baby goes nuts

She also loves playing with our animals and exploring new places. And all the other great things ladies have mentioned.

Her new thing is turning lights on and off when we leave/enter rooms. Haha
