Scariest day turned happiest day of my life!!

Toni
So after having insomnia and not sleeping until around 5 am for the past few weeks I knocked out at like 7 pm on Monday night (strange right???). So I woke up at around 5:30 am Tuesday morning to pee and felt the most uncomfortable pain in my belly when I got out of bed... I just brushed it off thinking, ohh well... he probably just changed position a little because I sleep on my side... so I peed grabbed and snack and came back to bed... before I was able to open the bag I felt and pop and water just started gushing like crazy!!! My DH and I rushed to the hospital thinking this is it! The best moment of our lives. My contractions started coming 15 minutes into the car ride and they were 5 minutes apart... once we got to the hospital we were rushed straight to the l&d because it was an obvious placenta abruption I think they called it... so even with all the pain everything was going great we were all excited, the nurses were amazing!! But upon checking my cervix the nurse goes "yea that's definitely not a head". Those words were like a stab in the heart... and it felt all downhill to me from there... we later found out that I was dilated to 4 cm and the baby's heel was stuck in my cervix his head was up to my chest and the cord was wrapped around his neck... there was nothing we could do to turn him  due to the fact that my water had already broken and my contractions were coming 2 minutes apart. We were rushed into an emergency c section and thank God we now have a healthy baby boy!!! Daír Adriel Malachi Thompson born at 38 weeks on 01/17/17.
