Anyone conceived using donor sperm??

Question

I am 36 weeks pregnant. My husband and I found out last summer of 2015 that he cannot ever have kids. He had a surgery to try and locate any usable sperm in December of 2015 and was unsuccessful. We decided together (i thought) that because being pregnant and having a baby has always been the one thing I've ever wanted LONG before becoming an adult and finding my husband, that we would do donor sperm. The idea was hard for him to come to terms with for a while but we signed all the consent paper work together with our fertility doctor and began IUI in February of 2016. It took 4 months until we conceived in May and found out June 10 after the two week wait. We since then have been thrilled and so excited for this experience. 98% of the time he is so happy but there have been a couple moments I could count on one hand since conception (last night being one of them) that he has had a little emotional moment and been really upset that its unfair he won't ever have a child genetically from him. Idk what to do for him other than what I always do which is try to be there for him. But sitting here 4 weeks away from our due date I'm feeling scared about our future and if he will ultimately be ok😔 Does ANYONE have any experience with this??

I mean what if the rolls where reversed you could carry a child and had a surrogate? 
Of course you'd still be a bit upset becuase it's not you who's doing what women are "suppose" to do. He probably feels a bit less of a man (even tho he's not).

Just be there for him and reassure him this is still his child DNA or not.
I have two "step" kids they are ALLL MINE they may not look like me but god sometimes I swear I made them with how much they are like me lol.

I am their mother as it is my love time effort support going into raising them no one else's (as a mother). 
His child will be his as it his his love his support his effort going to his baby!!!

I think once the baby is here and in his arms he will see it as his child. I've learned that sometimes it's hard for the guys to feel attached emotionally until the baby comes. They may feel attached, but once baby is in his arms he will feel like everything was worth it!  I also think once he sees baby and see you in the baby he will not worry so much about it not being "genetically his"!

Slightly different situation- my SO is a woman. She's a little older than me but still young enough to carry a child. She had a miscarriage years ago and is afraid of having another and also we know that there are some genetically linked mental health problems in her family. Because of this she does not want to carry or genetically contribute to a child. It works out for me because I've always wanted to be pregnant. Anway, we conceived with donor sperm and we're trucking through this pregnancy haha... I do what I can to make her involved. I make it a point to always refer to the baby as our baby or her baby not ever my baby. I make sure she touches my bump every day and gives our baby a kiss and says goodnight. I ask her to talk to our baby and try to involve her in every decision-even giving up some things that were important to me (like having a home birth) because of her choices. 
Even though I do all of this, sometimes she still feels like this will never be her baby and she says mean things and sad things. It's an emotional trip for everyone. Just do what you can and once the baby is here, most of it will melt away I think. It may come up sometimes but just remind him how much you love him and that it won't matter to the baby who contributed chromosomes.

Yes! 12 week old baby conceived via ivf/donor sperm. My husband has a chromosomal defect which also means he has 0. After blood tests doctors decided the surgery wouldn't even be beneficial for him.
