best vitamins to help irregular period?

I'm just trying to get my period under control so I can better track my ovulation and I'm not sure what vitamins to use. Any suggestions? I don't like medications I tried provera and it worked but not too well, plus I'm not covered for insurance at the moment so any over the counter is great! Thanks ladies!

I will never ever mess with herbal vitamins ever again after my experience I had this past october, November and December. My period was late so I decided to take an herbal vitamin called  vitex. I took it for 3 months. All was fine the first two months but then when I got to the third month of taking it I started having spotting which then turned into bleeding. I ended up bleeding for two months straight nonstop. It messed my hormones up SO BAD. I ended up having to take birth control pills for a month to make it stop and regulate my hormones back. Worst experience of my whole life.

If I were you I would consult with the doctor. Taking unneccessary vitamins could harm your body. Also as far as I know you cant regulate periods with vitamins, only hormones. Vitamins have little impact on periods, on the other hand hormones are those who "rule" your cycle.
